With an unwavering internal compass, face life with integrity and use your voice to connect to your soul. Reject variants, withdraw from transience and return to the fundamentals - gold, white and black. Brilliant, pure and earthy, these colors represent lightness, beauty and fortitude.
Stripped down, these unbridled forms of glass and metal resonate with life.Humans and nature, the physical and spiritual, free from confines and in its purest form - these are the personifications of freedom. This sentiment toward glass is a display of elegance and an allure that is both organic and powerful.
Freedom is the most valuable element of glass art. It is an unassailable hallowed wellspring. No longer needing to take direction from the outside, no longer confined to the physical limitations of a domed ceiling, he shapes the glass in his hands with his heart and mind.
Like wind - a gale, a gravity defying explosive energy, this is the freedom that comes from knowing your power. Bonte has come into his own.

Void of color, free from confines, the artist’s sculptures are abstract, contorted, fragmented and explosive. It is the removal of opulence that reveals a pure and absolute expression in
pure white,
moody black
and precious gold.

《 FLOATING CLOUD 》
《 ESCAPING DOVE 》
《 FLIGHT IN THE LIGHT 》
share simple lines and relaxed curves. Alternating between fine and coarse sculptural techniques to generate optimal interactions with light, each design hums with life. Clouds drift, a dove takes flight. Allow everything in life to rise to the light.

Eric Bonte is not for imposing his ego - he allows and even encourages open interpretation of his work. Summoned by his senses, Bonte guides the material as it goes through a fundamental change. Through extreme heat, glass and metal undergo a metamorphosis in fire and air to satisfy the artist’s imagination. What emerges is a brand new form, purposeful and committed.
Eric Bonte has a gentle nature and believes in the commonalities between beauty and love - this easily aligns with how Eastern philosophies interpret ren (benevolence). The dreams he harbors reveal themselves as freedom and love through his work; it is an enthusiastic response to this multifaceted world we inhabit. When faced with doubt and controversy, let art do the talking because art has the ability to transcend ideology.

Like wind for example, a nebulous yet palpable force. Bonte gives form to the concept of wind using glass, where it takes over the bulk of the sculpture’s surface. With a yearning for freedom and passion for innovation, Bonthe is a “wind chaser”with glass in his hands and a generous dose of resolve. Wind is without bounds; it can not be defined; it is capricious and with emotion. All of us have experienced wind in different ways. Through lines, planes, creases, twists, turns and declarations, Bonte captures its free spirit.
Bonte is passionate about life and seeks meaning from it - whether it be a gust of wind, illumination of mind, movement of celestial bodies or the origin of our world. In the spaces of and between what is and isn’t, Bonte strives to turn a fleeting moment into eternity.

Because of his work with domed ceilings, some say no other person is closer to light that Eric Bonte. What does this mean? It is the acknowledgement of how small we are.
In Eric Bonte’s abstract sculptures, he brings moving objects to inanimate states. And as if seen through a microscope, he enlarges them to the point where all details become indistinct. Only then can one focus on the true essence: the origin of life.
